Hiring a consultant can be confusing, so here is a list of frequently asked questions to help clear up any confusion you might have.
What is a marketing consultant?
A marketing consultant is a professional advisor who works with their clients to create and implement marketing strategies derived from their knowledge and experiences. A consultant can help create a business’s marketing plan, its marketing message, develop campaigns, and identify its target market.
Why hire a marketing consultant?
Not only is a consultant easier (and most of the time cheaper) than bringing someone on to your team directly, some challenging problems can better be solved by an outside party. Hard decisions and necessary actions can get wrapped up in emotions and office politics, while a consultant is an unbiased source of knowledge and experience. As a consultant, I also bring to the table a large network of businesses with that I have working relationships to help solve any problems that might come up.
How much is a marketing consultant?
For your average marketing consultant, you can expect an hourly rate of about $75 – $150 with some even costing upwards of $300 an hour. PB Consulting was started to offer incredible marketing consulting to local businesses for a low rate.
What is your confidentiality policy?
I offer all of my clients the option to have me sign an NDA, to not only protect all parties involved but keep anything discussed between clients and myself private. I will ask for written consent to feature any of my clients or their marketing materials in my portfolio.
Are you willing to travel?
I can go wherever I am needed! Any traveling outside of a 50-mile radius of Austin, Texas will either be provided for or reimbursed by the client.
What is your policy on either party missing a meeting?
All parties hold the right to reschedule a meeting as long as there is more than 24-hours notice. If a client misses a meeting without notice, it is considered billable time, while if I miss without notice the client receives a refund for that meeting and a free reschedule. Though this is my policy, I understand that stuff comes up and am willing to work with you in case of an emergency.
Do you offer payment plans?
Of course! We can set up payment however you need it. I will quote you your price before we begin work and we can work from there. Whether it is monthly, all upfront, or in increments. As long as it is paid up by the end of the project we are all good
How do you collect payment?
I prefer to work with Paypal invoices or paper checks but am willing to work with you to find the best option.
